Maintain the look| How to Keep Haircolor From Fading

    Any wig will fade through usage and over time especially when we use them regularly. What should matter is how long the wig has been able to serve its purpose before it fades and bring you joy. If you take good care of your wig and maintain its natural look by following tips, it may even last beyond the given lifespan.

1.Do Not Wash Your Wig Too Often
    Please be noted that every time you wash your wig, it will lose color, so the less you wash, the slower the color fade. And everytime you wash, wash it with a conditioner specifically formulated for color-treated hair since it’s gentler on color than shampoo.

2.Wash Your Wig With Lukewarm Water
    Superhot water can cause damage to the outer cuticle and make the hair more porous, fresh hair color can easily escape through wide-open pores. So it’s extra important color-treated wig to heed this advice: Wash your wig and rinse off in lukewarm water—not hot. Your hair color will thank you!

3.Opt For Air Dry
    Since heat can be a culprit of hair color fading, try to air dry. Dry the washed wig gently with a towel, then place it in a ventilated place and let it air dry. If you insist on using blow dryer, then please set it at the lower tempetature to avoid hair damage.

5.Avoid heat styling
    Similar to rinsing hair in hot water, heat styling also opens the cuticle of the hair, allowing color to fade. If you cannot avoid heat styling, whatever you do, just be sure to start with a heat protectant. When styling hair, it is best to use hair clips to divide the hair, because repeated heating of the same part of the hair will accelerate the loss of hair moisture and dye.

6.Minimize exposure to sunlight
    Just like your skin, hair color will change with the sun's rays. So another key thing to note is to keep your wig stored away from direct sunlight and to make sure don't wear it excessively in the sun, as UV rays can cause the hair color to fade over time.
